Explicit and implicit self-esteem within a given range of clients with anxiety disorders: quantitative and qualitative analysis with emphasis on Rorschach method

The thesis focuses on the issue of self-esteem in clients diagnosed with anxiety disorders. While this condition belongs to the most common mental illnesses, the role of the patient's self-esteem has not been sufficiently researched. The aim of the thesis is to contribute to a better understanding of the relation between anxiety and self-esteem, and to examine whether clients with so called Other Anxiety Disorder manifest specific differences in their level of self-esteem. In the theoretical part we summarize the key findings in the domain of anxiety disorder research; we further compare the different psychological approaches to the issue of self-esteem. There is a particular focus on authors who explore the possible causes and features of self-esteem deviations in patients with anxiety disorders, and who propose hypotheses regarding the nature and origins of this linkage. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of the explicit and implicit self-esteem level in clients with anxiety disorder. For the purpose of measuring explicit self-esteem we have used foreign questionnaires, namely the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale and the SLSC-R. Barchelor thesis focuses on anxiety disorders from a biological and psychological perspective. This thesis aims to provide anxiety disorders in their entireness. For this reason, thesis focuses on psychological and physical symptoms of anxiety. Topic contains unconscious symptoms manifesting inside of a man. Thesis is divided into two main parts. First one consists of literature review, the second one consists of experiment design. Experiment design deals with physiological symptoms of social phobia. The effect of group CBT psychotherapy on the level of functional personality skills in relation to identity in patients with neurotic disorders

This thesis aims to test the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy for hospitalized and outpatients at the National Institute of Mental Health who have been diagnosed with anxiety spectrum disorder. It focuses on mapping the patients' personal functioning in relation to the identity dimension. For this purpose, the semi-structured interview STiP-5.1 according to the alternative model of DSM-5 and the Personality Functioning Skills Scale LPFS-BF 2.0 were used.The literature review section focuses on the introduction of identity and its development as a lifelong process, introducing the different components of identity and relevant theories in contrast to the current conception of identity with regard to the research aim. Furthermore, space is devoted to the concept of neurotic disorders classification systems and their characteristics in terms of personal functioning and identity. Subsequently, the concept of personality functioning and the theoretical background of the alternative DSM-5 model on which it is based are introduced. A pilot study of efficiency of cognitive behavioral treatment on pacients with anxiety disorders with special focus on intimacy

In my master's thesis, I investigate the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on patients with anxiety disorders, with a specific focus on the area of intimacy. I examine changes in personality functioning, differences between the control and experimental groups, the influence of program completion under different conditions, and the impact of socio-demographic variables. The pilot study subjects are patients who completed the program in Ward 1 or attended the day clinic at the National Institute of Mental Health. The patients underwent a six- week cognitive-behavioral therapy program with elements that focus on intimacy. Interviews were conducted with patients at the beginning and end of the program to monitor changes in personality functioning. The research tools STiP 5.1 and LPFS-BF 2.0 were used for measurement. The results were subsequently compared with respondents from the intact population (currently not undergoing any psychotherapeutic or psychiatric treatment) who underwent interviews at the same time intervals. The impact of online learning on the mental health of high school students, with the focus on anxiety and depression

This thesis deals with the impact of online learning on the mental health of high school students, with the focus on anxiety and depression. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part explains the concepts of anxiety and depression and describes their symptoms, potential causes and ways of treatment. It also mentions phenomena which anxiety and depression need to be distinguished from. Then it deals with the period of adolescence, especially in the 21st century, and the problem of digitization. Due to the nature of the thesis, quantitative research was chosen, represented by a questionnaire, which was completed by 283 respondents. Data analysis showed that online learning seriously affected the mental health of high school students and had a negative impact on it. Out of the symptoms of depression, the students suffered the most with low mood, which significantly affected 62,4 % of the respondents. It was followed by the desire to do nothing, feeling of living an unsatisfactory life, loss of energy and fatigue. These symptoms significantly affected over 57 % of respondents.
